  • Day 3 : Ayodhya to Prayagraj (Kumbh Mela, 13 January 2025 – 26 February 2025)

    Morning visit to the Hanuman Garhi Temple, before heading to Janmabhoomi Temple, the birthplace of Lord Rama. Visit Dashrath Mahal façade, a majestic symbol of devotion and reverence. In the afternoon leave Ayodhya for Prayagraj to participate in Kumbh Mela.

    The Ardha Kumbh Mela is held at Prayaga, the site of the convergence of the three sacred rivers of Ganga, Yamuna, and mythological Sarasvati, known as Triveni Sangam. The Kumb Mela in Prayagraj,is held every six years between the larger Maha Kumbh Mela held every 12 years. This mega religious gathering attracts millions of pilgrims. The Kumbh Mela dates are determined by the alignment of the Sun, Moon, and Jupiter. 
    The major Ritual &highlight of the Ardha Kumbh Mela is, Shahi Snan, (Royal Bath); where millions of pilgrims, including saints, sadhus, and spiritual leaders, gather to bathe in the sacred rivers. Bathing at the auspicious time is believed to purify the body &soul. The Mela, is not just a religious festival but also a vibrant cultural event.Spiritual leaders and gurus give discourses, and pilgrims participate in religious discussions and celebrations The Mela is also a meeting point for different sects and spiritual traditions of Hinduism.     Indulges in your religious activities including holy dip in the much-revered Ganges. Late in the afternoon leave Prayagraj for the holy city of Varanasi. 

    Varanasi, also known as Kashi or Benares, is one of the oldest living cities in the world, on the banks of the River Ganges. It holds immense spiritual and cultural significance for Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains and is considered the spiritual capital of India. Varanasi is believedto be a place where people can attain moksha (liberation from the cycle of birth and death). The city is famous for its several Ghats (waterside steps leading to river)prominent among them is Dashashwamedh Ghat, known for its grand Ganga Aarti ceremony.Varanasi has been a centre of learning, music, yoga & meditation and culture for centuries.     Early morning boat ride on the Ganges to see rituals being performed on the Ghats. Later proceed for the city tour. Afternoon visit Sarnath where Buddha delivered his first sermon. At your leisure you may like to witness Ganga Arti at Dasaswamedh Ghat during Sunset.
